self-esteem is a journey. For women entrepreneurs, confidence, clarity, and resilience are
essential in business, and in life. In this post, I will share my personal experience with low
self-esteem and guide you through practical steps you can take to strengthen your self-
worth and grow into a confident, grounded leader.
Releasing old baggage, one step closer to stronger self-esteem! Recorded at my Toastmasters club.
My Story: My Self-Esteem Journey
There was a time in my life when I struggled with low self-esteem. I was afraid to speak
up, constantly worrying about what others thought of me. And when someone said
something negative, it hurt, deeply.
In my late 20s, it felt like I was carrying emotional baggage on my shoulders. Heavy.
Exhausting. Ugh! I was desperate to feel lighter and more confident.
Job interviews were especially tough. I was scared to speak to the interviewers. I
searched for answers everywhere. I even Googled, “How do I become more self-confident?”
Then in 2019, things began to shift. Through a transformative process, I started
releasing negative emotions, letting go of limiting beliefs, and healing past experiences.
Slowly, that heavy emotional baggage began to lift.
The relief I felt in my shoulders was incredible. That process helped me start building
my self-esteem and growing into a confident, grounded leader; stronger, more resilient,
and ready to take on challenges with clarity.
Self-esteem is your overall sense of your own worth and value how you perceive
yourself and the confidence you have in your abilities. Healthy self-esteem means you
recognize your strengths and accept your imperfections, allowing you to approach
challenges with confidence, make decisions with clarity, and maintain resilience in both
personal and professional life.
On the other hand, unhealthy self-esteem can manifest as self-doubt, constant fear of
judgment, or over-reliance on external validation. It may cause you to hesitate in taking
risks (business or goals), avoid opportunities, or feel overly critical of yourself.
By understanding the difference, you can begin to cultivate a balanced and empowering
sense of self-worth, which is essential for growth as a woman entrepreneur. I encourage
you: when you’re ready to learn how to build self-esteem, remember that your self-esteem
is an important foundation for your success and fulfillment in life.

Healthy self-esteem is the foundation
for confidence, resilience, and clarity in
both life and business. When you value
yourself and recognize your strengths,
you’re better able to make decisions
without second-guessing, take calculated
risks, and navigate challenges with calm and
focus. It helps you set boundaries,
communicate effectively, and handle
criticism without internalizing negativity.
Beyond business, healthy self-esteem fosters stronger personal relationships,
greater emotional well-being, and a sense of fulfillment. Simply put, when your
self-esteem is strong, you’re more empowered to show up fully, embrace
opportunities, and enjoy life on your terms.
Learning how to build self-esteem is possible for you, one step at a time.
When your self-esteem is strong, you lead with clarity,
resilience, and confidence; in business and in life.
